Concord, Ontario, Canada – November 2024 – Michael Devitt has recently been appointed as the Group Director of Human Resources at Multimatic, a global enterprise providing components, systems, and engineering services to the automotive industry. Based at the company’s headquarters in Concord, Ontario, Michael will oversee the human resources functions across Multimatic’s diverse operating groups, supporting organizational growth and workforce development within a rapidly evolving industry.
Before joining Multimatic, Michael served as the Senior Human Resources Manager at Johnson Electric, where he was responsible for HR operations across Canada. His role focused on strategic HR initiatives, employee engagement, and compliance with regional regulations, enhancing workforce stability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Previously, Michael spent over 13 years at Stackpole International, a pivotal experience where he held roles including Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Manager. At Stackpole, he led HR functions across various departments, contributing to talent development and safety initiatives that significantly improved employee welfare and operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Michael worked at Victaulic as a Human Resources Manager for over two years, overseeing recruitment, training, health and safety, and payroll. His role required close collaboration with senior management on labor relations and performance management, where he successfully implemented policies that enhanced compliance and workplace culture.
Michael began his career as a Human Resources Manager at Masonite. Here, he gained extensive experience in labor relations, health and safety, and payroll administration. His work included chairing the health and safety committee, leading training programs, and achieving improvements in the company’s safety metrics through effective WSIB claims management.
