Houston, Texas, United States, December 2024 – Miranda Wright has been named Senior Director, People Operations at Fervo Energy, where she will oversee the company’s human resources strategies, talent management, and operational excellence. Miranda’s promotion reflects her significant contributions as Director of People Operations and aligns with Fervo Energy’s commitment to innovation and sustainable energy.

Miranda joined Fervo Energy in June 2022 as Director of People Operations, where she established the People Operations function for the startup, leading its growth from a team of two dozen to over 100 employees within two years. She introduced essential HR systems, policies, and programs, including a DEI plan, compensation philosophy, and talent management strategies, while ensuring seamless change management during the rollout of these initiatives.

Prior to Fervo, Miranda served as Director of Human Resources at Yellowjacket Oilfield Services, LLC, where she led HR operations for a multi-state organization of over 300 employees. She was instrumental in navigating workforce challenges during the pandemic and implemented policies that enhanced employee retention and benefits.

Her earlier experience includes six years at Oasis Petroleum, where she held roles such as Human Resources Supervisor/Manager and Senior Employee Relations Specialist, focusing on employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance. Notably, she developed leadership training programs and improved organizational readiness for regulatory audits.

Miranda began her HR career as a Compliance Officer/Equal Opportunity Specialist at the U.S. Department of Labor, where she audited federal contractors and earned recognition for her innovative solutions and compliance expertise.

Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership.
