Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States – November 2024 – Molly Weston McCabe has joined bluebird bio as the Director, People Partner, Ops & Analytics. In her new role, McCabe will oversee people operations and analytics strategies, furthering the company’s commitment to fostering a strong, data-informed people culture that aligns with bluebird bio’s vision.
Molly Weston McCabe has dedicated over three years to bluebird bio, initially joining as a Senior People Partner and advancing to the role of Associate Director, People Partner. In these roles, she managed and executed key HR strategies and contributed significantly to the company’s organizational alignment and employee engagement initiatives. Her progression within bluebird bio highlights her strategic approach to people management and her effectiveness in enhancing HR functions across the organization.
Prior to bluebird bio, McCabe was with Carbon Black, Inc. for approximately three years, where she served as a Senior HR Business Partner & Global HR Program Manager. During her tenure, she focused on aligning HR initiatives with business objectives for multiple departments, including Marketing, Finance, IT, Security, and Customer Service. Additionally, McCabe led key talent management and employee engagement programs, positioning Carbon Black as an employer of choice and strengthening overall organizational health.
McCabe’s experience also includes her tenure at Dell Technologies, where she contributed as an HR Business Partner for the Global Marketing organization. She provided strategic HR consulting to executives and played a critical role in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational integration processes, especially during the Dell-EMC merger.
Earlier in her career, McCabe built foundational HR experience at EMC Corporation, where she managed corporate HR programs, including compensation and talent reviews, for a large employee base. She also contributed to engineering-focused HR initiatives within EMC’s Global Drive Engineering and Cloud Management Divisions, gaining expertise in workforce planning and talent alignment.
