Cairo, Egypt, July 2026 — The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) has promoted Monica Said to Head of Human Resources. In her new leadership role, she will lead the organization’s human resources strategy, talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and people initiatives, supporting AmCham Egypt’s mission of strengthening trade, investment, and business collaboration between Egypt and the United States.
Monica’s promotion marks the culmination of an exceptional 13-year journey with AmCham Egypt, during which she has steadily progressed through multiple human resources and talent acquisition leadership roles. She joined the organization in 2012 as a Customer Relations Representative Intern, before formally beginning her HR career as a Recruitment Coordinator in September 2013.
She subsequently advanced to Recruitment Specialist, where she spent over four years supporting talent acquisition initiatives across the organization. Her continued success led to her promotion as Senior Recruitment Specialist, followed by Senior Human Resources Specialist, reflecting her expanding responsibilities across recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and people development.
In August 2022, Monica transitioned into broader human resources leadership as Human Resources Officer, before being promoted to Senior Human Resources Officer in April 2024. During this period, she played an instrumental role in strengthening HR operations, enhancing employee experience, supporting organizational capability building, and driving key people initiatives across AmCham Egypt. Her latest promotion to Head of Human Resources recognizes her sustained contributions, leadership capabilities, and deep institutional knowledge built over more than a decade with the organization.
Over the course of her career, Monica has developed extensive expertise across talent acquisition, human resources operations, employee engagement, organizational development, recruitment strategy, workforce planning, performance management, and people management. Her long-standing association with AmCham Egypt positions her uniquely to continue building a high-performance, people-first culture while supporting the organization’s strategic growth and member engagement objectives.
