Delhi, India, May 2025 – Navin Kumar has taken on a new role as Factory HR Head at Nestlé, bringing with him over 16 years of dynamic HR leadership experience, including a long and accomplished career at Tata Steel. In this new position, Navin will play a pivotal role in advancing Nestlé’s human capital strategies within its manufacturing ecosystem, focusing on workforce engagement, industrial relations, and performance culture.
Navin transitions to Nestlé after an exceptional tenure at Tata Steel, where he spent close to 16 years holding multiple strategic roles across India. Most recently, he served as Head HRBP of the Bearings Division, where he steered comprehensive HR programs that enhanced employee engagement and operational alignment at Kharagpur.
Prior to that, Navin was Head HRBP Shared Services at Tata Steel Jamshedpur, where he led people strategies for critical shared services and support functions for over three years. His tenure was marked by strong collaborations, cultural transformation, and operational efficiency.
Earlier, he contributed to Tata Steel’s greenfield expansion and regional operations, serving as Head HRM for Iron Making and CWR Cell at Kalinganagar, and Head HRM at Noamundi, OMQ Division. His early years included key managerial roles in industrial relations and employee welfare across multiple divisions, including Jharia, EQMS, and Engineering Services.
Before joining Tata Steel, Navin worked with ACC Limited as Assistant Manager – HR & EW in Chandrapur, gaining valuable experience in the cement industry’s HR operations.
Navin holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PGDPM&IR) from the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, completed in 2008.
