Gurugram, Haryana, India, December 2025 – Neha S. has stepped into the role of EVP & Head HR – Airtel Business at Airtel Business. After an extensive and rewarding journey in Airtel’s B2C business, where she partnered closely with business leaders, shaped culture, and built high-performing teams, she now transitions into leading the people agenda for the B2B business.
In this new mandate, she continues her passion for enabling people to build meaningful careers, helping teams thrive, and steering businesses forward with both head and heart, while embracing new teams, challenges, and transformation opportunities.
Before taking on the EVP & Head HR – Airtel Business role, Neha S. served as EVP & Head HR – Market Operations and Contractual Workforce at Airtel in Gurugram, Haryana, India. In this capacity, she led a large and complex field organisation, overseeing people strategy for market operations, contractual workforce, and large frontline populations. Earlier, as SVP & Head HR – Market Operations, she was responsible for the HR agenda across 18 telecom circle units with tens of thousands of on-roll and off-roll employees, leading a sizeable HR team to drive end-to-end life cycle management, sales capability building, workforce productivity, horizontal career paths, and diversity and inclusion. Prior to that, as Head of Talent, Learning and Culture, she spearheaded key programmes around digital capability, leadership development academies, women returnship initiatives, career fairs, and succession planning to strengthen organisational health and design.
Earlier, Neha spent over five years with Bharti Enterprises in the Greater Delhi Area, rising to Vice President and Corporate Head HR while also serving as General Manager – Group Human Resources. In these roles, she partnered with the Chairman and Group Corporate Directors to support transformative growth across group companies in telecom, insurance, FMCG, real estate, QSR, learning, and social impact. She led executive rewards workstreams and people tracks on strategic projects such as listings and M&A events, while also heading HR for the Bharti Corporate Office and acting as HR business partner for emerging businesses including Bharti AXA Life and General Insurance, Bharti Realty, FieldFresh Foods, Centum Learning and Bharti Foundation.
In an earlier phase of her career, Neha S. held multiple leadership roles within Airtel across the Madhya Pradesh and Gurgaon regions over several years. She served as Head HR – Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, driving the people agenda for a sizeable business unit and partnering closely with the CEO to deliver results through employee connect, talent development and succession planning. Prior to this, she worked as a Compensation & Benefits Specialist, leading total rewards for key units and designing a new performance management process and tool across 20 countries in India, South Asia and Africa. As HR Business Partner, she led the HR agenda for pan-India marketing talent, supported emerging businesses such as Airtel Money and M-Entertainment, and established a Marketing Academy to build functional capability. She also held earlier responsibilities as Head Talent Acquisition and Head HR Operations, managing operations, payroll, employee query resolution and policy implementation in the Madhya Pradesh region.
At the start of her professional journey, Neha worked with IBM in the London Area, United Kingdom, as Project Administrator, ISV Advantage for a little over a year. This early international exposure gave her foundational experience in programme administration and stakeholder management, helping set the stage for a rich and evolving career in HR leadership across geographies, businesses and enterprise lifecycles.
