San Francisco Bay Area, United States, June 2025 – Nicole Griego Webber has been formally appointed as Head of Human Resources at Metagenomi, a precision genetic medicines company pioneering next-generation genome editing technologies. In her new role, Nicole will lead the company’s global HR function, overseeing talent development, organizational effectiveness, DEIB strategies, and culture-building initiatives aligned with Metagenomi’s mission to transform genetic medicine.
Nicole has already been playing a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy. Over the past six months, she served as Acting Head of HR at Metagenomi, where she spearheaded initiatives around employee engagement, performance management, and leadership alignment. Prior to that, she was Senior Director, Talent Management and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, where she led talent programs across functions, integrating people operations with long-term business goals.
Earlier, Nicole held the role of Senior Director, Talent Acquisition at Metagenomi, where she established scalable hiring practices, built cross-functional teams, and strengthened employer branding. Before joining Metagenomi, she was Staff Talent Acquisition and D&I Leader at Freenome, where she helped scale teams and talent infrastructure to support the company’s mission in early cancer detection.
She has also held several influential leadership roles in life sciences talent consulting. At Prescience Consulting and Bench International, she partnered with biotech and pharmaceutical organizations to deliver executive search, HR transformation, and strategic hiring solutions. Her portfolio includes engagements with Aimmune Therapeutics, Ultragenyx, Pharmacyclics, and Genentech, where she supported high-growth phases, product launches, and global expansion through talent strategy.
