Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, June 2025 – Niraj Singh has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Daikin Australia, a recognized leader in air conditioning and climate control solutions. In this strategic role, Niraj will oversee all aspects of human resources for Daikin’s Australian operations, including talent acquisition, people development, organizational design, and HR transformation. His expertise is expected to drive the company’s continued commitment to innovation, employee engagement, and operational excellence as Daikin Australia advances its manufacturing and service footprint nationwide.
Prior to joining Daikin Australia, Niraj Singh served as Director Human Resources Asia Pacific at Crown Equipment Corporation. In this role, he provided both strategic and operational HR support across the region, collaborating closely with country leadership teams. He was instrumental in developing HR capabilities, implementing global HR systems, advancing leadership development, and building talent strategies and succession plans to address business risks across Asia Pacific. Niraj also managed industrial relations, global compensation integration, and supported the business through significant transformation projects.
Previously, Niraj was with Lincoln Electric for over three years, first as National Human Resource Manager – Australia and New Zealand, and then as Head of HR – East Asia & Pacific Region. He worked closely with senior management and global HR to align business and HR strategies, improve organizational performance, and drive initiatives in talent development, employee engagement, change management, and compliance. His leadership was instrumental in executing key projects like HRIS deployments and enterprise agreement negotiations, as well as championing people development and safety culture across the region.
Earlier in his career, Niraj held the position of Human Resource Manager at Gremalco, where he was a key member of the leadership team and developed people & culture strategies aligned to the company’s growth objectives. At RS Components, he served for nearly nine years, progressing through several HR leadership roles, including Head of HR – Australia/NZ & South East Asia and Senior HR Business Partner, ANZ/Regional Project Lead – APAC. In these roles, Niraj delivered strategic global HR projects, drove HR operational excellence, and partnered with leadership teams to deliver high performance cultures and standardized HR practices.
Niraj’s extensive HR experience also includes roles as Human Resources Manager at Kumon Australia, Human Resources Manager at Fiji Airways, and Human Resources Advisor at Westpac Bank. Across these diverse sectors—manufacturing, engineering, utilities, aviation, and financial services—he has established a strong track record in people strategy, business partnership, HR operations, employee relations, and talent development.
