Vienna, Austria, August 2025 — Norbert Halmer has been appointed Global Head of People Engagement & Global People & Culture BP – Corporate Functions at RHI Magnesita. In his new mandate, he will oversee global people engagement initiatives, including company culture, employee development, leadership programs, DEI, and the global trainee program, while also serving as a strategic business partner to executive management and C-level leaders to drive organizational development and talent initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Norbert Halmer held the role of Global People & Culture BP – Global Communications, IMO and Corporate Strategy at RHI Magnesita. In this capacity, he partnered with senior leadership on organizational development and talent strategy while implementing global initiatives across talent development, compensation, and benefits. He also provided sparring support to executive leaders on strategic business needs.
He also served as Project Manager – People & Culture Integration in both Dubai and New Delhi, where he supported the launch of the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa sales region and led cross-cultural integration programs. His focus was on creating strategies for cultural alignment and delivering training to enhance collaboration in diverse, international teams.
Earlier, Norbert Halmer was HRBP Global Leaders for the company’s Project Group, Global Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations. Across these roles, he provided HR partnership for global teams, ensuring organizational development, employee engagement, and strategic HR alignment within a complex international environment.
Before joining RHI Magnesita, he was HR Business Partner – Austria at Air Liquide, where he managed HR operations and business partnership for the Austrian market. Prior to that, he held HR leadership positions at Schindler Aufzüge und Fahrtreppen GmbH (Austria) and KONE, where he specialized in learning and development and HR tools. He also served at REWE International AG in recruiting and employer branding. His early career included roles in HR consulting, project management, and education services with organizations such as BFI Wien, eXplore5D GmbH, and trade.management.consulting Austria GmbH.
