Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 — Nupur Bedi has joined Optiv as HR Leader, India & Senior HR Director. Her appointment marks an important leadership move for the cyber advisory and solutions company as it continues to strengthen its people strategy and organizational capability in India. With a career spanning strategic HR leadership, organizational transformation, talent management, executive coaching, and global HR strategy, she brings a strong and well-rounded people leadership profile to this role.
Before joining Optiv, Nupur Bedi was working as a Fractional CHRO, Strategic HR Advisor & Consultant, and Executive Coach through her independent HR consulting practice. In this role, she advised organizations including startups on organization transformation, talent management, executive coaching, organizational development interventions, global HR strategy, employer branding, and leadership capability development. During this period, she was also associated as Vice President – HR for Providence Global Centre, GCC, and continued her work in coaching and performance development.
Prior to that, she served as Regional Human Resources Director at Abbott, where she was the HR leader for the pharmaceutical division covering Abbott Primary Care, Abbott Specialty Care, and Abbott India Ltd. In that assignment, she translated business priorities into progressive people strategies, led talent management reviews, drove diversity, equity and inclusion and employee engagement strategy, built leadership bench strength, partnered on strategic projects, led merit and incentive planning for senior leaders, and coached the senior leadership team.
Earlier, Nupur Bedi spent more than five years at General Mills as Human Resources Director and HR Head India – Global Capability Centre (GCC). There, she led the people and culture agenda for a 2,500+ strong GCC supporting multiple global functions including digital and technology, R&D, solutions development, sales solutions, consumer insights, shared services, and finance. She built and led a full HR strategy across a matrixed organization, oversaw HR business partners, compensation and benefits, learning and talent management, communications, employer branding, talent acquisition, HR operations, employee relations, and HR shared services supporting 22 countries. Her work also included employee experience, learning architecture, diversity and inclusion, and employer brand building.
Before General Mills, she served as Head, HR – India & South East Asia Market at Novartis, covering Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In that role, she led HR strategy for Novartis Consumer Health across India and Southeast Asia and also spearheaded the HR integration and transformation of the joint venture with GlaxoSmithKline, partnering with global leaders to drive change and business outcomes.
A major earlier phase of her career was at L’Oréal, where she held the positions of Centre of Excellence, Head – People Development, Learning and Talent Management and Head, Human Resources – Business HR and Talent Attraction. Across these roles, she led learning architecture, employee engagement, succession planning, international mobility, talent acquisition strategy, leadership hiring, talent mapping, campus management, and manager capability building. Her work there reflected strong expertise in people development, learning, talent strategy, and employer branding.
Earlier in her professional journey, she was Senior Strategic HR Business Partner at The Scarborough Hospital in Canada, where she advised business leaders and senior management on complex human resources matters and led organization effectiveness initiatives. Before that, she worked at GE Capital as Manager, Human Resources, supporting a large employee base and building an early foundation in corporate HR leadership.
Her career reflects deep and progressive leadership across strategic HR, talent, culture, transformation, leadership development, employee relations, and global people operations. With experience spanning Optiv, Abbott, General Mills, Novartis, L’Oréal, The Scarborough Hospital, and GE Capital, Nupur Bedi brings a highly accomplished and international HR leadership perspective to her new role.
