Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — Oliver Wyman has announced the appointment of Dr. Chirag Adatia to lead its India business as the firm continues to expand its presence and capabilities in one of the world’s fastest-evolving and most strategically important markets.
A seasoned leader with nearly two decades of experience spanning management consulting, business leadership, healthcare, and strategic transformation, Dr. Adatia will be responsible for accelerating Oliver Wyman’s growth in India, expanding the firm’s market footprint, strengthening client relationships, and bringing the full breadth of the firm’s global capabilities to help organizations address their most critical business challenges and opportunities.
Dr. Adatia joins this expanded leadership responsibility as a Partner at Oliver Wyman, a position he has held since April 2025. Since joining the firm, he has been instrumental in advising organizations on growth strategy, transformation, and business performance initiatives across multiple sectors.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Dr. Adatia served as CEO, India and Established Markets at THB, where he led the company’s business operations and growth strategy across key markets. During his tenure, he focused on scaling the organization, strengthening market presence, and driving sustainable business growth.
Earlier, he spent more than fifteen years with McKinsey & Company, where he progressed through several leadership positions including Partner, Associate Principal, Engagement Manager, and Associate. During this period, he advised leading organizations across industries on strategy, transformation, organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and growth initiatives. His extensive consulting experience enabled him to work closely with senior executives and business leaders navigating complex business environments and transformational change.
Before entering the consulting profession, Dr. Adatia worked as a Resident Doctor at GTB Hospital, bringing a unique blend of medical, analytical, and business expertise to his leadership approach. He also completed a summer internship with Unilever, gaining early exposure to business operations and corporate leadership.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Dr. Adatia combines strong business acumen with deep strategic consulting expertise, making him well-positioned to lead Oliver Wyman’s next phase of growth in India.
Alongside this leadership transition, Oliver Wyman also announced that Sumit Sarawgi will assume a strategic global role focused on advancing the firm’s digital, artificial intelligence, and technology capabilities. In this capacity, he will help strengthen capabilities that are increasingly critical to innovation, growth, and value creation for clients worldwide.
