In her new role, Chitre will lead high-impact strategic projects and enterprise-wide initiatives aimed at strengthening BARC India’s position as the country’s most trusted source of television audience measurement and media intelligence. Her elevation reflects the confidence the organization has in her leadership capabilities, analytical expertise, and ability to drive transformational outcomes.

Chitre joined BARC India in 2022 as Assistant Vice President – Special Projects, where she played a key role in leading strategic programs and supporting initiatives critical to the organization’s evolution and long-term growth. Over nearly four years, she has worked closely with leadership teams to drive operational excellence, innovation, and business effectiveness, contributing significantly to BARC India’s mission of delivering reliable and actionable audience measurement data.

Prior to joining BARC India, Chitre served as Associate Director at NielsenIQ, where she led consumer and market intelligence initiatives, helping organizations make data-driven decisions through deep market insights and analytics. Her career also includes a stint as a Consultant at Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG), where she supported business transformation and excellence initiatives across Tata Group companies, strengthening organizational performance and operational effectiveness.

Earlier in her professional journey, Chitre worked as a Senior Business Consultant at Hindustan Unilever Limited, contributing to strategic business projects and organizational initiatives. She also held leadership positions at NielsenIQ and IMRB International, building extensive expertise in consumer research, market analytics, business consulting, and strategic planning. Her diverse experience across research, consulting, and business transformation has positioned her as a respected leader in the insights and analytics industry.
