Saudi Arabia – November 2024 – Omar Hariri has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at SAL Saudi Logistics Services. With his extensive experience in the logistics sector, Mr. Hariri is expected to drive SAL’s mission to become the leading logistics champion for Saudi Arabia, aligning with Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics. His leadership will be instrumental in enhancing SAL’s contribution to the nation’s global connectivity.
Prior to his current role at SAL, Omar served as a Board Member for SAUDI EXPORTS and National Transportation Safety Center, furthering strategic growth and safety initiatives in Saudi Arabia. His prior board membership at Saudi Red Sea Authority underscored his commitment to national development efforts.
Before his board tenures, Omar served as President of Saudi Ports Authority, where he played a pivotal role in transforming port logistics within the Kingdom for over three years. His experience with SkyTeam as Chairman Cargo Executive Board further highlights his vast expertise in cargo logistics, alongside his earlier term as CEO of Saudia Cargo, where he successfully expanded air cargo operations.
Earlier in his career, Omar held strategic roles in multinational logistics organizations, including Managing Director at Abdul Latif Jameel Transportation Co. Ltd. (FedEx Express), and as Vice President Commercial – KSA and Country Manager for DHL Express Saudi Arabia. His journey in logistics began as National Sales Manager at DHL Express, laying a foundation for his leadership in supply chain solutions.
