Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2026 – Bata India Limited has announced that Sudakshina Ghosh has joined the organization as Vice President & Head – Human Resources. The company stated that as it continues strengthening its people-first culture, Sudakshina will lead the HR agenda across strategic business partnering, leadership capability, employee experience, employer branding, DEIB, and people impact initiatives across offices, factories, and retail stores.
Prior to joining Bata India Limited, Sudakshina Ghosh spent nearly eight years with GSK in multiple senior HR leadership roles across India and international markets. Most recently, she served as Country HR Head – Vietnam, where she led HR strategy and organizational initiatives supporting business transformation and workforce capability development. Earlier, she worked as HR Lead India Established Pharma, leading HR for the company’s pharma commercial business supporting more than 3,000 employees across India. During this period, she also served as Interim HR Head for GSK India, leading a 25-member HR team through key organizational and business transformations.
Before GSK, Sudakshina built an extensive leadership career with Asian Paints, where she spent over eleven years across multiple strategic HR and organizational development roles. As HR Head – APL International, she led strategic HR operations across 14 countries, focusing on talent management, organizational development, and process excellence. She also held leadership roles including Head – Learning, Talent & OD, Lead Diversity and Inclusion and CSR, and Lead – Commercial (India Sales & Marketing), driving talent transformation, diversity and inclusion initiatives, capability building, HR integration during mergers and acquisitions, and employee engagement programs.
Earlier in her tenure at Asian Paints, Sudakshina also led performance management, talent, and rewards initiatives while supporting HR operations for manufacturing sites. Across her career, she has developed deep expertise in succession planning, leadership development, organizational transformation, total rewards strategies, DEIB initiatives, employee engagement, and strategic HR leadership.
An alumna of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Sudakshina brings over two decades of HR leadership experience spanning manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, retail, and global business operations.
