India, May 2026 – Sumoya Ghosh has joined The Hartford India as Head of Learning & Development. Announcing the new role, she shared that she will lead the organization’s learning charter as The Hartford India continues to grow and scale its India footprint, with a focus on building future-ready capabilities, strengthening leadership and technical development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Prior to joining The Hartford India, Sumoya Ghosh spent more than four years with Google across multiple people and talent leadership roles in the APAC region. Most recently, she served as Googler Experience Partner – APAC, where she focused on delivering transformative employee experiences, driving strategic learning interventions, and fostering an AI-first learning mindset across regional operations. She also worked closely with Google AI Garage to integrate AI into HR systems and processes at scale while supporting global people experience initiatives and performance management cycles.
Earlier at Google, she held the position of Senior Specialist, Talent Engagement – APAC, where she led large-scale talent engagement and campus hiring strategies across multiple APAC countries. During this period, she designed innovative volume management and candidate engagement strategies, helped optimize recruitment operations, and played a major role in managing large campus hiring programs. She also contributed to employer branding initiatives across APAC while building engagement programs focused on emerging technology talent pools. Prior to that, she served as People Programs Specialist – APAC, leading campus outreach, employer branding, and employee advocacy initiatives.
Before Google, Sumoya Ghosh held HR and organizational development leadership roles with organizations including InMobi, IGT Solutions, WNS Global Services, Wissen Technology, and Accel. Across these organizations, she led initiatives spanning talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational design, rewards and recognition, HR transformation, post-merger integration, and learning strategy development.
At IGT Solutions, she served as Head – Talent Management, Engagement & OD Initiatives, where she led global talent management and employee engagement initiatives across multiple global delivery centers. She also played a significant role in leadership development, succession planning, and organizational integration projects. Throughout her career, Sumoya has built strong expertise in people strategy, learning transformation, organizational capability building, AI-enabled HR practices, and employee experience enhancement.
An alumna of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, where she completed her Master of Arts from the School of Management & Labour Studies, Sumoya brings a blend of strategic HR leadership, digital transformation expertise, and learning innovation to her new role at The Hartford India.
