Hyderabad, Telangana, India, May 2026 – Shweta Desai has been appointed as Director – Talent Acquisition, India & APAC at SEI. In her new role, she will lead talent acquisition strategies across India and the Asia-Pacific region, supporting the company’s growth and talent expansion initiatives within the financial technology and services landscape.
Prior to joining SEI, Shweta Desai served as Associate Director Talent Acquisition at Zelis, where she led recruitment initiatives and talent acquisition strategies for the organization’s growing operations. Before that, she worked with Ivy as Senior Manager Talent Acquisition, contributing to global talent acquisition and sourcing initiatives while supporting business growth through strategic hiring and talent engagement programs.
A significant part of Shweta’s professional journey was shaped during her more than eleven-year tenure with Tata Consultancy Services. Over the years, she held several leadership positions across talent sourcing, recruitment, HR business partnering, and workforce strategy. As Head – Talent Sourcing, she led sourcing initiatives focused on emerging technology talent areas. She also served as Talent Sourcing Lead – CBO/ITIS / Cloud Infra & Cyber Security and India Sourcing Lead – Cyber Security & Enterprise Intelligent Automation, where she partnered closely with business units to align hiring strategies with evolving business and technology requirements.
During her tenure at TCS, Shweta also worked as an HR Business Partner, managing HR operations for a workforce of more than 1,800 employees across areas including performance management, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, compensation and benefits, grievance handling, training and development, and organizational health initiatives. Earlier, she served as Campus Recruitment Lead – Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, leading fresher hiring and campus recruitment initiatives for the company across the region.
Before transitioning into strategic HR and talent acquisition leadership, Shweta built early-career experience in customer support, operations, and team capability development through roles at Avaya and Sitel. These experiences helped strengthen her expertise in stakeholder management, employee engagement, operations support, and customer-focused workforce management.
