In his new role, Peter Hardwick will lead Strides’ North America operations, overseeing both front-end and B2B businesses with a strong focus on driving commercial performance, strengthening market competitiveness, and creating long-term value in the generics pharmaceutical segment. North America continues to be a critical pillar of Strides’ global growth roadmap, and his appointment marks a strategic step toward building a more resilient and scalable presence across the region.

Peter brings over three decades of leadership experience across the global pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Strides, he served as Principal at Hardwick Healthcare Consulting, where he advised healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations on commercial excellence, strategic growth, leadership transformation, and value creation initiatives.

Before this, Peter spent nearly two decades at Apotex, one of the world’s largest generic pharmaceutical companies. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer, Apotex Corp, leading the organization through a successful divestiture and transition to a private equity ownership model. During his tenure at Apotex, he also held multiple senior leadership roles including Chief Commercial Officer (EVP), Senior Vice President – Commercial Operations, Canada and Caribbean, and Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Canada, where he was instrumental in driving market expansion, portfolio growth, and commercial transformation.

In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Peter has contributed to industry governance, having served as Vice Chair of the Association for Accessible Medicines (United States) and Chair of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association, shaping policy advocacy and strengthening access to affordable medicines across North America. Earlier in his career, he held marketing leadership positions at Mepha / Teva Switzerland, building deep expertise in regulated generics markets.
