Toronto, Ontario, Canada, November 2025 — Xplore Inc. has announced that Petri Lyytikainen has taken on the role of Chief Technology and Information Officer. In this strategic leadership position, Petri will oversee the organization’s entire technology ecosystem, unifying Network, IT, and Data & AI functions to accelerate digital transformation and enhance customer experience across rural and small-town communities in Canada.
Before stepping into his new appointment, Petri served as Chief Information Officer at Xplore Inc., where he focused on accelerating digital transformation, customer-centric technology capabilities, and end-to-end modernization of technology stacks, partnering closely with enterprise leadership teams to evolve solutions and infrastructure aligned to business growth.
Prior to joining Xplore, Petri served as Chief Technology and Information Officer at Trader Corporation, where he led a 450-member engineering function supporting AutoTrader.ca, AutoSync, Dealertrack and CMS. During his tenure, he successfully drove major transformation initiatives, strengthened cybersecurity, harmonized engineering teams post-acquisition, and supported a major private equity exit and transition.
Earlier, Petri spent more than ten years with Bell, where he served in roles including VP Enterprise Architecture, Cloud and Data & AI Platforms and VP Technology Strategy, Engineering and Operations, leading large technology transformations, cloud modernization, IT & network engineering teams, hyperscaler partnerships, automation initiatives, and data-driven revenue enablement.
Before Bell, he held senior leadership roles at Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Canada, including Chief Technology Officer and Head of Solutions Sales, Canada, General Manager – Canada, and VP Professional Services – Canada, where he played a key role in scaling enterprise technology operations, accelerating business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and driving significant transformation across telecom infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Petri held multiple roles with Nokia Networks across global and regional leadership, including Global General Manager, Mobile Packet Core Networks Business, Senior Manager – Customer Operations & Technical Support, and other engineering, customer operations, and software leadership positions across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.
