PetWise, a trailblazer in the pet product industry, has announced the appointment of E. McDowell “Mac” Tillman as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 5, 2024. A Legacy of Leadership and Innovation

Under Kevin Fick’s stewardship, PetWise, formerly known as Worldwise, has evolved into a powerhouse in the pet product sector, renowned for its innovative, solution-based offerings. Fick’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in expanding the company’s portfolio through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, most notably securing investment from A&M Capital Partners. As Fick transitions to a pivotal role on the company’s Board of Directors, his legacy of growth and innovation will continue to influence PetWise’s strategic direction.

Mac Tillman: A Visionary Leader for the Next Chapter

Mac Tillman brings to PetWise over two decades of leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving growth and brand development in the consumer goods and pet care industries. His previous roles at Big Heart Pet Brands, Del Monte Foods, and as CEO of Alete Active Nutrition, where he achieved significant brand expansion and revenue growth, have prepared him well for steering PetWise into its next growth phase. Tillman’s military background as a Major in the United States Marine Corps and his academic credentials, including a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Cornell University, underscore his strategic and disciplined approach to leadership.

Focusing on Innovation and Customer Connections

Tillman’s vision for PetWise centers on deepening the bonds between pets and their families through innovative products and engaging brand experiences. His strategy includes accelerating e-commerce initiatives, expanding the newly launched Treatly brand, and leveraging insights to develop products that resonate with modern pet parents. This customer-centric approach, coupled with Tillman’s extensive experience, positions PetWise for continued leadership and success in the dynamic pet supplies market.

Industry and Leadership Endorsements

The transition has been met with enthusiasm from industry partners and stakeholders. Ryan McCarthy, Partner at A&M Capital Partners, expressed confidence in Tillman’s ability to drive strategic growth, highlighting his alignment with the company’s goals and his potential to lead PetWise into its next successful chapter. Fick’s endorsement of Tillman underscores a seamless leadership transition, promising a future where PetWise continues to thrive under new guidance while maintaining its commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility.
