Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Garware Technical Fibres Limited (GTFL) has announced the appointment of Poonam Gupta as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership team as the company enters a new phase of growth and transformation.
In her new role, Poonam will lead GTFL’s people and culture strategy, leadership development, talent management, and organizational transformation initiatives to support the company’s expanding global operations.
Prior to joining GTFL, Poonam Gupta spent nearly fifteen years with Metso Corporation, where she most recently served as Vice President – Regional HR, MEI Region (earlier Asia Pacific). During this tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening leadership pipelines, driving HR transformation, and enabling organizational development across complex multi-country operations.
Earlier, she was associated with Genpact (erstwhile GE Capital International Services) for over a decade as Assistant Vice President – HR, where she led HR for Genpact’s Global IT function and Finance & Accounting global client accounts, and oversaw managerial hiring for Genpact India.
She has further strengthened her leadership capabilities through Executive Management programs at IMD and INSEAD.
