Poonam’s journey in human resources and people management has been marked by a variety of roles and responsibilities. In recent years, she has worked as an independent consultant and coach — supporting nonprofits and social enterprises in building robust people systems, culture frameworks, and leadership pipelines. Her role as an HR consultant with an entrepreneurship-focused institution involved designing HR structures and performance management systems during critical growth phases. At the same time, her work as a leadership and performance coach has equipped her with insights into emotional wellness, human resilience, and strengths‑based team development — skills increasingly valued in modern, values-driven workplaces.
Earlier in her career, Poonam held HR leadership roles in diverse sectors including hospitality, real estate, retail, and learning & development. She led HR operations at a boutique homestay venture she co-founded in the Himalayas — demonstrating hands‑on leadership and organizational building from the ground up. Over the years she has managed everything from talent acquisition and compensation to employee engagement, training, and culture building — giving her a deep understanding of both people and operational dynamics across small teams and large organizations alike.
