Pune, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Prabhu Sundaresan has been promoted to Director – Human Resources at Apex Group Ltd, marking another significant milestone in a distinguished human resources leadership career spanning more than two decades across global financial services organizations.
Having played a pivotal role in strengthening Apex Group’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness initiatives, Prabhu’s elevation reflects his contributions to talent transformation, HR integration, workforce optimization, digital HR transformation, and leadership partnership across the organization.
Prior to his promotion, Prabhu served as Regional Head of HR India – Senior Vice President at Apex Group Ltd for nearly four years. In this role, he partnered closely with India and global leadership teams to align people strategies with business objectives across multiple locations. He led organizational effectiveness initiatives, HR integration for acquisitions, talent and performance management programs, payroll governance, policy harmonization, and key global transformation projects, including the implementation of Workday to streamline HR processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Before joining Apex Group, Prabhu built an extensive career with BNP Paribas, where he spent more than twelve years across India and Europe in a variety of senior HR leadership roles. As Senior Vice President – Human Resources, he led strategic HR integration initiatives, harmonized policies across business entities, and drove employee lifecycle transformation projects.
Earlier, as Head of Learning & Development – EMEA, based in Paris, he led a team of learning professionals supporting more than 18,000 employees across EMEA and the United States. During this period, he championed learning transformation initiatives, implemented a unified Learning Management System, and introduced innovative workforce resilience and remote-working programs during the COVID-19 transition.
Prabhu also served as Head – Human Resources at BNP Paribas India, where he advised senior leadership on people strategy, led HR integration efforts following acquisitions, drove enterprise-wide HR technology implementations, established governance frameworks for compliance and payroll operations, and launched talent development and succession planning initiatives that strengthened organizational capability.
Earlier in his career, he spent over four years with Citigroup as Senior Manager – HR, partnering with leadership teams within Corporate and Investment Banking. He played a key role in talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership development, governance, ethics management, and employee relations initiatives.
His professional journey also includes HR and talent acquisition roles with Slashsupport India Pvt Ltd, SolutionNET, and Maars Software International Ltd., where he developed foundational expertise in talent management, recruitment, consulting, and HR business partnering.
Throughout his career, Prabhu has built a reputation for driving strategic human resources transformation, talent development, organizational effectiveness, HR technology modernization, leadership advisory, compliance excellence, and business-aligned people strategies across global organizations.
