Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2024 – Pranav Prashar has taken on the role of Head of Customer Excellence, North America and LATAM with Merck Group in the Life Sciences division. In this newly appointed position, Pranav will be responsible for driving customer-centric initiatives across North America and Latin America, focusing on enhancing customer engagement, experience, and operational excellence to support the company’s growth and innovation objectives in these key regions.
Pranav brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as Director at Merck Group, where he led strategic projects in Bengaluru. His leadership and deep understanding of customer-focused strategies are expected to play a significant role in shaping Merck’s customer excellence efforts in North America and LATAM.
Prior to joining Merck, Pranav held key roles at Amazon, where he led multiple high-impact teams and programs. As the Senior GTM Manager – Monetization, he was instrumental in developing the go-to-market strategy for Amazon Live. Before that, he served as Senior Program Manager, managing the Amazon Pi analytics product for advertising clients, empowering brands with insights to make data-driven decisions.
Earlier in his career, Pranav led a 250-member payment risk operations team as Manager III Ops at Amazon, managing risk across 21 countries. His expertise in fraud prevention, program management, and customer trust initiatives honed during this tenure is expected to be highly valuable in his new role at Merck.
Pranav’s career began with over a decade of service as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, where he led teams in combat and counter-terrorism operations. His time with the United Nations as a Combat Team Leader (Captain) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo further demonstrated his leadership capabilities, successfully managing peacekeeping operations and international collaborations.
