Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – Saraswat Bank, one of India’s pioneering banking institutions, appoints Priyam Alok as the new Chief Business Officer. Alok brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in the banking and financial services industry.
His role at Saraswat Bank involves overseeing the Consumer and Commercial Banking Group, managing a comprehensive portfolio of asset products, including Business Banking, Loans Against Property, Micro Business Loans, and more, and spearheading the bank’s transformation initiatives.
Before joining Saraswat Bank, Alok served as the Executive President & Head of Business Banking at AU Small Finance Bank from March 2016 to March 2024. His leadership was crucial in transitioning AU from a leading NBFC to a robust banking entity, significantly enhancing its service capabilities to the Micro, SME, and Mid Market segments. Under his guidance, AU Small Finance Bank emerged as the largest small finance bank in India, with a diversified asset portfolio supported by global investors such as Temasek and Warburg Pincus.
Previously, Alok held key positions at Reliance Broadcast Network and Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he was instrumental in driving business growth through innovative client solutions and strategic team leadership. His tenure at Reliance Broadcast Network as National Head of the Television Business saw him managing major media channels, while at Kotak Mahindra Bank, he was pivotal in managing the retail liabilities sector across North, West, and East India.
