London, United Kingdom, December 2024 – Rachel Boddy has been named Head of People – S&P Global Ratings at S&P Global, assuming leadership of the People function for one of the company’s most pivotal divisions. In her new role, Rachel will spearhead HR strategies, talent development, and workforce planning to support the organization’s continued success in providing trusted credit ratings and market insights globally.
Rachel has been with S&P Global for nearly a decade, progressing through various leadership roles in the People function. Most recently, she served as Vice President of People, where she successfully aligned HR strategies with the company’s business objectives, fostering a high-performing culture. Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Director, People Partner, where she partnered with the Ratings Executive Committee to design and implement innovative talent strategies across global business areas. As Director, Global People Partner, Rachel focused on workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development. Her earlier tenure as People Partner included providing strategic HR guidance across EMEA and the U.S., managing complex workforce planning initiatives, and contributing to S&P’s global EVP initiatives.
Before joining S&P Global, Rachel worked at Amgen as a Senior HR Associate, where she supported R&D and operations across multiple sites, advising managers on employment issues and managing payroll and compliance. Earlier in her career, she held HR roles at Merck Serono, where she provided first-line HR support, and Prism Executive Recruitment, where she gained experience sourcing and screening candidates across various industries during her undergraduate placement year. Rachel holds extensive expertise in talent management, leadership development, and workforce strategy, making her a vital asset to S&P Global Ratings in her new role.
