Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 – Bajaj Alternate Investment Management Limited has appointed Rahul Bijlani as Chief Business Officer, strengthening its leadership as it scales its alternative investment platform backed by the legacy of the Bajaj Group.
Rahul joins Bajaj Alternates with over two decades of experience across wealth management, private banking, advisory, and financial services. Most recently, he served as Head – Investment Advisory at Axis Securities Limited, where he led a team of Investment Advisors catering to private banking clients across the Axis franchise. He focused on enhancing assets under advisory through disciplined portfolio advisory frameworks, robust asset allocation models, and technology-enabled financial tools, ensuring alignment, transparency, and performance-led growth.
Prior to Axis Securities, Rahul spent nearly five years at IIFL Wealth Management Ltd as Senior Vice President – Product Development & Management. After beginning as a Private Banker, he was entrusted with establishing the Insurance Distribution vertical, successfully launching and building the business through product innovation and partnerships with leading underwriters across life, health, and general insurance.
Earlier in his career, Rahul held multiple leadership roles at Citibank India, including Regional Insurance Head, Branch Manager, Investment and Insurance Counselor, and Relationship Manager, gaining extensive experience across consumer banking, client relationship management, channel sales, and branch leadership.
An MBA in Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Rahul brings a strong blend of advisory depth, product innovation, and business leadership. In his new role, he will drive strategic growth, business expansion, and customer-centric innovation at Bajaj Alternates.
