San Francisco, California, United States, May 2024 – Liz Landon has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Tides. Liz is overjoyed, honored, and humbled to join such an inspiring organization that partners with groups globally to create a more just and equitable world.
Liz’s most recent role was as Chief People Officer and Board of Directors Member at Fishawack Health for nearly two years. She was the first CPO of this private-equity-owned commercialization partner for biopharmaceutical, medical technology, and wellness industries. She led the strategic change and integration of 20 acquired companies, improving employee experience and aligning the workforce with new strategic plans, vision, and values during a period of transformation and rapid growth.
Before that, Liz served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Heartland Alliance for approximately one year. She led the development and launch of the organization’s first three-year strategic plan for human resources and established the People and Culture function, supporting employees across seven countries. She was also the co-executive sponsor of Heartland’s Anti-Racism Response Council.
Liz spent around five years at Lyric Opera of Chicago as Vice President of Human Resources, where she was responsible for all facets of talent strategy, human resources operations, and employee/labor relations for the organization, including its seven unions. She initiated and scaled Lyric’s first IDEA program and transformed the way departments interacted with each other, enhancing focus and communication.

Liz has held several other significant roles, including Field Office Management at Obama for America, and various leadership positions at Accenture over 26 years. At Accenture, she led global talent management, improving global talent strategies, and driving initiatives such as the Accenture Alumni Network and the redesign of the global workforce structure.
