Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 – Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced the appointment of Rajesh Mittal as its Chief Information Officer (CIO), marking a strategic move to accelerate its digital transformation and strengthen technology-led innovation across its global operations.
A seasoned technology leader, Rajesh Mittal brings a distinguished track record in digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, and large-scale business transformation initiatives. His leadership has consistently enabled organizations to align technology with business objectives while delivering scalable, future-ready solutions.
In his new role, Rajesh will spearhead the company’s IT evolution, driving efficiency, innovation, and digital scalability as SWREL continues to expand its global renewable energy footprint.
Most recently, Rajesh Mittal served as Vice President & Head, IT and Transformation at Altius Telecom Infrastructure, where he led enterprise-wide digital initiatives across one of India’s largest telecom infrastructure platforms, supporting large-scale operations spanning telecom towers, fiber networks, and AI-enabled infrastructure.
Prior to this, he was Vice President and Head of IT at Summit Digitel Infrastructure Limited, where he played a key role in building and scaling IT capabilities for a rapidly growing digital infrastructure business.
He spent over a decade at Bharti Infratel Limited, holding multiple leadership roles including IT Head & CISO – Smart City, IT Head – Operations & Infrastructure, and Head – Central Operations, IT Governance & New Business, where he drove governance frameworks, infrastructure modernization, and security architecture initiatives.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at Avaya GlobalConnect and Ansun Multitech (India) Ltd., where he built foundational expertise in IT systems, networks, and enterprise technology operations.
Rajesh began his professional journey with PCL, gaining early experience in customer engineering and technology services.
