Ralph Placido Appointed as Head of Human Resources for Subsidiaries at MERALCO

Pasig, National Capital Region, Philippines, December 2024 – Ralph Placido has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources for Subsidiaries at MERALCO, where he will oversee HR functions for the company’s subsidiary operations. In his new role, Ralph will focus on aligning human resource strategies with organizational goals to foster employee engagement, workforce development, and operational excellence.

Ralph has been with MERALCO for over seven years, most recently serving as Head of Talent Resourcing, where he was instrumental in implementing data-driven employer branding strategies and optimizing recruitment operations. Under his leadership, MERALCO earned numerous accolades, including HR Excellence Awards for Graduate Recruitment and Talent Acquisition, and recognition as a Diversity and Inclusion Champion by LinkedIn’s Talent Awards. His efforts contributed to MERALCO’s inclusion in Universum’s Top 100 Most Attractive Employers in the Philippines for several consecutive years.

Before his tenure at MERALCO, Ralph held the role of Lead for Talent Branding and Attraction at Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., where he spearheaded initiatives like the Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit and launched impactful digital recruitment campaigns. His innovative strategies significantly enhanced the company’s employer branding and talent attraction capabilities.

Ralph also gained extensive HR expertise during his time as Senior HR Advisor/Business Partner at Thomson Reuters, where he localized and executed global HR programs and led initiatives in onboarding, employer branding, and diversity and inclusion. His achievements were recognized with the Thomson Reuters Manila Achievement Award for excellence in HR advisory and talent acquisition.

Earlier in his career, Ralph worked with leading organizations such as InterContinental Hotels Group, where he focused on employee engagement and labor relations, and JG Summit Group of Companies, where he managed outsourced manpower and ensured compliance with labor standards.
