Jharsuguda, Odisha, India, December 2025 – Ravi Shahi has been promoted to the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business Jharsuguda, marking a significant leadership elevation within one of India’s largest aluminium manufacturing operations.

In his new role, Ravi Shahi leads the commercial strategy across Vedanta Jharsuguda’s aluminium value chain, focusing on strengthening upstream and downstream integration, driving market-led sourcing strategies, and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes. He will continue to spearhead initiatives that enhance cost leadership, supply chain resilience, and commercial excellence across operations.

In his most recent tenure with Vedanta Limited, Ravi served as Director – Fuel Security, where he played a critical role in strengthening coal sourcing strategies, fuel security frameworks, and logistics optimization for Vedanta’s large-scale aluminium operations at Jharsuguda. His leadership significantly enhanced supply continuity, cost efficiency, and procurement governance across the power and smelting ecosystem.

Prior to Vedanta, Ravi Shahi was Vice President at LafargeHolcim Group, where he led large-scale commercial, procurement, and logistics portfolios, driving efficiency and strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple manufacturing clusters in India.

Before this, he held leadership roles at Hindalco Industries Limited, including Assistant Vice President and earlier as Head – Materials & Logistics at Hindalco Hirakud, overseeing procurement, logistics, captive power and coal mine material flows, and large project sourcing functions. These roles built his deep expertise in aluminium, cement, and power sector supply chains.

Ravi began his career with UltraTech Cement as Senior Manager – Materials, and earlier spent close to a decade at Hindalco – Renusagar Power, where he served as Section Head – Purchase, establishing his foundation in industrial procurement, materials management, and logistics leadership.
