New York, New York, United States, June 2026 — Richard (Rich) Tornambe has started a new position as Head of People Team Communications at BNY, bringing more than two decades of experience in corporate communications, human resources communications, talent communications, employee engagement, and executive communications across the financial services industry.
In his new role, Rich will lead People Team Communications at BNY, supporting employee engagement, talent initiatives, leadership communications, organizational culture, and workforce communications strategies across the global financial services organization.
Prior to joining BNY, Rich served as SVP, Head of Communications, Santander Bank, N.A. at Santander US, where he led communications strategy and stakeholder engagement efforts for the banking organization.
Before Santander, he spent nearly three years with Prudential Financial, holding the roles of Director, Talent Communications and Director, Corporate Communications. During his tenure, he led communications initiatives supporting talent strategy, employee engagement, corporate reputation, and organizational transformation.
Earlier, Rich served as Director, HR Communications at ADP, where he was responsible for developing and executing communications strategies supporting the company’s workforce and human resources initiatives.
Prior to ADP, he spent more than four years with AIG, serving as Director, HR Communications and Internal Communications Manager. In these roles, he led employee communications, leadership messaging, change management communications, and workforce engagement initiatives.
Rich also spent five years with Accenture as Manager, HR Communications, where he supported human capital initiatives and internal communications programs for a large global workforce.
Earlier in his career, he held several communications leadership positions with Merrill Lynch, including Assistant Vice President, Wealth Management Communications, Assistant Vice President, HR Communications, and Specialist, Corporate Communications. These roles helped establish his expertise in executive communications, employee communications, talent engagement, and financial services communications.
With extensive experience across banking, financial services, consulting, insurance, and wealth management sectors, Rich brings a strong track record of aligning communications strategies with business objectives, talent priorities, and organizational culture.
