Pune, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Ecolab has promoted ShyamsundaR Lahane to the role of Talent Acquisition Leader.
Lahane has been associated with Ecolab for more than four years and has held multiple roles across talent acquisition and human resources within the organization.
Prior to his promotion, he served as Lead Talent Acquisition Advisor from May 2025 to April 2026. In this role, he was responsible for strategic hiring initiatives and recruitment operations across Ecolab’s India businesses. He also contributed to talent acquisition projects aligned with business hiring requirements.
Earlier, he served as Country HR Partner from September 2023 to April 2025 and concurrently held the position of Talent Acquisition Advisor from April 2022 to April 2025.
As Talent Acquisition Advisor, Lahane worked closely with hiring managers and business leaders to support talent acquisition requirements across multiple business functions. His responsibilities included recruitment strategy, diversity hiring initiatives, sourcing optimization, candidate assessment, recruitment analytics, stakeholder management, candidate experience, compliance, and talent acquisition reporting.
During his tenure, he supported hiring across support functions, manufacturing operations, supply chain, mining, food and beverage, institutional businesses, paper, downstream operations, data centers, life sciences, research and development, water treatment, cooling towers, boilers, and potable water businesses.
Before joining Ecolab, Lahane worked with Cummins India in Corporate Recruiting from October 2021 to March 2022.
Prior to Cummins India, he served as Associate Manager – Talent Acquisition at Marquardt India Pvt. Ltd. from September 2018 to June 2021. In this role, he was responsible for end-to-end recruitment for support functions, sales, business development, project management, and purchasing functions. He also managed employee referral and internal job posting programs.
Earlier, Lahane worked with Tata Motors as Recruitment Lead from May 2015 to April 2018. He led recruitment activities across HR, finance and accounts, sales, strategic projects, quality, and subsidiary businesses, including Jaguar Land Rover operations. His responsibilities included stakeholder management, recruitment analytics, workforce planning, sourcing strategy, and recruitment process management.
Before joining Tata Motors, he served as Talent Acquisition Specialist – UK & US at Capgemini from March 2014 to May 2015. In this role, he supported talent acquisition across financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare, technology, and consulting functions in the United Kingdom and United States.
Earlier in his career, Lahane worked with Mphasis as TPO from June 2012 to November 2013 in Pune.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in Human Resources Management and Services from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning.
