New Delhi, Delhi, India, January 2026 — Romit Guha has been appointed as Head of Communications at Bharti Enterprises, where he will lead the group’s overall communications strategy, encompassing both external and internal communications.
In his new role, Romit is responsible for shaping and driving the communications agenda for Bharti Enterprises, aligning reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic messaging with the group’s diversified business interests across telecom, financial services, real estate, hospitality, agri and food, and renewable energy.
Prior to this appointment, Romit served as Head of Corporate Communications at Bharti Airtel, where he led communications strategy at the group’s flagship telecom business, overseeing both internal and external communications during a period of significant industry and organisational transformation.
Before transitioning into corporate communications, Romit built a distinguished career in journalism spanning more than two decades. He spent over 12 years with The Economic Times, where he most recently served as National Editor – Telecom, Aviation & Legal, and earlier as National Tech and Telecom Editor, leading national coverage of India’s technology, telecom, aviation, and legal sectors.
Earlier in his career, Romit held senior editorial roles at The Wall Street Journal / Dow Jones Newswires, where he covered economic, monetary policy, technology, media, and telecom sectors in India. He also worked as a correspondent with Thomson Reuters, and held editorial roles at Hindustan Times, The Asian Age, and India Today, developing deep expertise in business, policy, and corporate reporting.
