Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India) has appointed Roshin Mascarenhas as its new Head of Talent Acquisition. In this leadership role, Mascarenhas will drive the company’s talent strategy and strengthen its recruitment ecosystem to support BCCL’s diverse portfolio of iconic media brands.
Mascarenhas brings more than two decades of experience in talent acquisition and HR strategy, spanning global media, entertainment, FMCG, and consulting organizations.
Most recently, he served as Head of Talent Acquisition, South Asia at WPP Media, where he led and mentored a large geographically dispersed team of recruiters across India, driving consistent talent acquisition practices and implementing innovative sourcing strategies, while also heading the campus program.
Before WPP Media, he was Head of Talent Acquisition at Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where he streamlined recruitment processes and mentored a high-performing team to align hiring practices with business objectives. He also contributed to Network18 Media & Investments Limited, leading talent acquisition for its digital businesses and implementing innovative staffing solutions.
Earlier, Mascarenhas held senior talent acquisition leadership roles at Aditya Birla Group, where he led group staffing initiatives, implemented employer branding programs, and introduced pioneering hiring policies across businesses. He also served as a staffing leader at The Walt Disney Company, ABC Consultants, and began his career with Personnel Search Services and AFL Logistics Limited, building deep expertise in recruitment strategy, employer branding, and workforce planning.
Mascarenhas holds an MBA in Human Resources from ITM Group of Institutions.
