Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 – Sajith Sivanandan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Tata Digital, effective September 2025. He takes on this leadership role after a distinguished global career, bringing decades of experience across technology, digital services, and media.
Most recently, Sajith served as President – Jio Mobile Digital Services at Jio Platforms Limited, where he was responsible for building a large-scale digital services business underpinned by AI. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Disney+ Hotstar, where he successfully drove strategy, growth, and product development, overseeing India’s largest SVOD platform while managing cross-functional teams across product, sales, engineering, marketing, and partnerships.
Before Disney+ Hotstar, Sajith spent 15 years with Google across multiple senior leadership roles. As Managing Director and Business Head of Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives for Asia Pacific, he helped scale Google’s payments business across the region, navigating complex regulatory environments and launching products that transformed digital adoption. Earlier, he led Google Pay and NBU initiatives in India, significantly accelerating the adoption of UPI.
His tenure at Google also included leading operations in Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines as Managing Director of Emerging Markets, and serving as Country Head of Google Malaysia, where he founded operations and grew the business ninefold in three years.
Sajith’s career also includes leadership roles at XA Network (formerly Xoogler Angels) as a member supporting startup investments, at Affle UK Ltd as Director of Market Development, and at Gallup as an Associate Partner where he expanded Southeast Asia operations. Earlier, he began his career at Star TV, managing Channel [V]’s business for North India.
Sajith holds an MBA in Finance from the Asian Institute of Management, where he graduated with distinction in the top 2% of his class and served as Vice Chairman of the Students’ Association. He also earned an MBA in Marketing from FORE School of Management, New Delhi.
