Sylmar, California, United States, April 2026 — PPG’s Aerospace Business has announced the promotion of Sam Millikin to Senior Vice President, Aerospace, effective January 1, 2026. In this role, he will continue to lead the global aerospace business while reporting to Chancey Hagerty, Senior Vice President, Automotive Refinish Coatings.
Based in Sylmar, California, Sam’s elevation reflects his long-standing contribution to PPG and his deep expertise across aerospace coatings, sealants, and advanced materials. His leadership will remain central to driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustained growth within one of PPG’s most strategic global business segments.
Sam brings an impressive 36-year tenure at PPG, having joined the organization in 1989. Over the decades, he has taken on a wide range of leadership roles across account management, sales, and marketing within PPG’s specialty coatings and materials businesses, steadily building a strong foundation in commercial strategy and customer engagement.
In 2013, he transitioned into PPG’s aerospace segment as a Global Platform Business Manager, where he was responsible for strategy development, pricing, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering/product development. This role marked a significant step in shaping the company’s aerospace business capabilities at a global level.
He was subsequently elevated to Global Platform Director for Aerospace Sealants and Packaging in 2017, where he managed end-to-end operations and drove performance across this specialized business. His ability to integrate strategy with execution led to further advancement in 2020, when he assumed the role of Global Platform Director for Aerospace Coatings and Sealants, overseeing one of the company’s most critical portfolios.
Most recently, Sam has been serving as Vice President and Global Director at PPG, continuing to expand the aerospace business footprint while strengthening its market position through innovation, customer-centric solutions, and operational discipline.
