Prior to joining Arka Fincap Limited, Samrat Gupta spent more than a decade at Tata Motors Finance, where he served as CEO and MD for over seven years. Under his leadership, the company’s assets under management grew significantly, disbursements doubled, and GNPA was reduced dramatically through improved collections. He was instrumental in launching innovative lending products and securing industry awards, including the JRD Award for Business Excellence.

Before leading Tata Motors Finance, Samrat held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the same company, where he led a financial restructuring program that improved capital adequacy and streamlined operations. He also managed large-scale capital raising and corporate lending initiatives, contributing to Tata Motors Finance’s growth.

Samrat also held dual roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief People Officer at Tata Technologies Limited for seven years. His responsibilities included formulating global business plans, managing HR strategies, and executing mergers and acquisitions, which included several international acquisitions and joint ventures.

Earlier in his career, Samrat served as GM Finance at HCL Technologies, where he managed mergers, acquisitions, and investor relations. He also worked as Corporate Finance Manager at Tata Technologies, handling strategic planning and corporate finance activities, including high-profile acquisitions.
