Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2025 — Sandeep Dhar has been appointed as Global Head of the Global Capability Center (GCC) Practice at Wipro Limited, where he will spearhead the company’s consulting-led, AI-powered strategy for enabling global enterprises to establish and scale next-generation transformation hubs. Working closely with Sanjeev Jain, Wipro’s Chief Operating Officer, Dhar will drive strategic alignment of services that empower clients to unlock long-term value through future-ready GCC operations.
With over three decades of experience in the GCC ecosystem, Dhar brings a unique blend of leadership, operational expertise, and innovation across industries. He most recently served as Chief Delivery Officer at Apexon, and prior to that, led the Consumer Banking GCC for Goldman Sachs in India. His prior leadership experience includes senior roles at Hexaware Technologies, Capgemini, and Tesco HSC, where he managed the delivery, transformation, and scaling of high-impact shared services and technology platforms.
At Tesco HSC, Dhar was instrumental in establishing one of the retail giant’s most advanced shared services centers, delivering end-to-end capabilities across IT, finance, e-commerce, and engineering. His earlier roles include global leadership at Sapient, Mphasis, ABN AMRO, and Citibank, giving him a deep foundation in customer experience transformation, banking technology, and operational strategy.
In his new mandate at Wipro, Dhar will focus on enhancing GCC-specific offerings, deepening strategic partnerships, and strengthening the company’s position as a key enabler of digital transformation and operational excellence for global clients.
