Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, May 2026 – Greif has appointed Sarah Samuel as HR Director – APAC HR Operations, based in Chennai, India. In her new role, she will lead HR Operations across the Asia-Pacific region while also spearheading the establishment of the company’s new corporate office in Chennai.
Sarah Samuel brings extensive experience across global capability centers, technology organizations, and multinational enterprises, with expertise spanning HR operations, employee engagement, governance, HR transformation, talent management, and organizational leadership.
Before joining Greif, Sarah Samuel served as Senior Manager – HR Site Lead GBS India at adidas, where she led HR operations and people initiatives for the company’s Global Business Services operations in India.
Prior to adidas, she worked with Dataiku as HR Lead – India, where she managed HR leadership responsibilities during a key growth phase for the organization in the Indian market.
Her earlier leadership journey includes assignments with Wipro, where she served as Account HR Lead for major global accounts including Microsoft and Kohl’s, driving HR partnership, people strategy, employee engagement, and organizational support initiatives across large-scale teams.
Sarah Samuel also spent nearly six years with Cognizant, where she handled multiple HR responsibilities including employee relations, performance management, rewards and recognition, governance, talent management, employee engagement, recruitment support, HR analytics, and corporate communication coordination across India-based teams.
Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in scaling HR functions, supporting business transformation, and creating people-centric organizational environments across dynamic and fast-growing business ecosystems.
