Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – Sarika Gonsalves has been elevated to the role of Deputy Director – People and Culture at Messe Muenchen India. In her new role, she will lead strategic HR initiatives focused on talent development, employee engagement, cultural transformation, and organizational effectiveness for one of India’s premier B2B trade fair organizers.
Prior to this promotion, Sarika served as Senior Manager – People and Culture at Messe Muenchen India for over three years. During this time, she played a key role in strengthening the HR framework, implementing people-centric programs, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives across the organization.
Before joining Messe Muenchen India, Sarika held the position of Senior Manager – Human Resources at Birla Open Minds Education Pvt. Ltd. for two years. Her contributions included leading end-to-end HR functions, enhancing employee experience, and facilitating leadership development across a fast-growing education group.
Earlier, Sarika served as Assistant Manager – Human Resources at VIBGYOR Group of Schools, where she spent over four years managing HR operations, implementing performance management frameworks, and building a strong employer brand within the education sector.
Sarika also brings over six years of experience from Mastek Ltd, where she worked as Assistant Manager – Recruitment, and nearly three years from First Advantage as a Senior Executive, laying a solid foundation in recruitment strategy, background verification, and operational HR processes.
