Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the India’s premier automobile manufacturer, promotes Satish Mohapatra to Senior Vice President & Head of Business and Corporate HR, effective April 1, 2024.

Having joined Maruti Suzuki India Limited just over a year ago, Mr. Mohapatra has swiftly climbed the ranks, showcasing his expertise in managing a diverse range of human resources functions. In his new role, he will be overseeing the HR Business Partner Organisation, HR Centres of Expertise, and HR Shared Services, catering to the needs of over 12,000 white-collar employees across various departments.

Before his tenure at Maruti Suzuki, Mr. Mohapatra amassed over two decades of experience in various leadership roles within the HR domain, notably at Siemens and Indian Oil Corporation Limited. His vast experience encompasses a broad spectrum of HR functions, including strategic HR planning, talent management, compensation & benefits, and diversity & inclusion, among others. His prior role as Sr. Vice President & Head of Central HR, and Chief Diversity Officer at Maruti Suzuki set a solid foundation for his current responsibilities.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Mohapatra has been instrumental in driving HR initiatives that align with corporate goals, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity. His previous roles across different geographies and industries have equipped him with a global perspective on human resources management and business operations.
