Colombo, Sri Lanka, September 2025 — Hayleys Leisure has announced the appointment of Shane Hallock as its new Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Hallock will be responsible for driving the group’s commercial strategy, strengthening global partnerships, and leading sales and marketing initiatives across its diverse portfolio of hotels, resorts, and boutique properties in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Hallock steps into this role after serving as Head of Sales at Hayleys Leisure for nearly three years, where he spearheaded business growth, enhanced revenue streams, and developed market strategies that reinforced the group’s position in the region’s competitive hospitality sector.
Previously, he was Director of Sales at The Kingsbury, one of Colombo’s leading five-star city hotels operated by Hayleys Leisure, where he successfully positioned the property as a premier hospitality destination.
Earlier in his career, Hallock gained valuable experience at Taj Hotels, serving both as Director of Sales and Associate Director of Sales, where he played a key role in driving sales strategies and strengthening brand visibility in Colombo.
Before joining Taj, he held senior commercial roles with Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, including Head of Corporate Sales and Senior Manager – Sales & Marketing (Corporate), as well as earlier assignments at Cinnamon Grand Colombo and Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, where he advanced from sales executive to leadership positions overseeing events, conferences, and corporate sales.
Hallock began his career in financial services at HSBC as a Customer Service Representative/Banking Assistant, before transitioning to the hospitality industry, where he has built an accomplished track record in sales leadership and commercial strategy.
