Sharukh brings an exceptional background in rewards, compensation, and HR strategy across several leading organizations. Prior to joining Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, he founded RewardCraft, a specialized consultancy offering tailored solutions in compensation, benefits, job evaluation, incentive plans, workforce planning, and organization design. His entrepreneurial stint further sharpened his ability to craft reward strategies that balance business objectives with employee engagement, catering to organizations across sectors.
Before RewardCraft, Sharukh led the global compensation practice at Mattr in Canada, managing rewards for a workforce spanning 11 countries. He also held leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim as Head of Rewards (India), and at Godrej Investment Advisers and Godrej Properties Limited, where he was instrumental in transforming compensation structures, optimizing wage bills, and benchmarking rewards across large-scale workforces in real estate and pharmaceuticals. At Alkem Laboratories and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Sharukh was responsible for compensation strategies for thousands of employees across domestic and global operations, demonstrating a consistent ability to lead complex, high-value projects with impact.
Sharukh’s early career was distinguished by academic rigor, having completed his MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He has also contributed to the HR profession as a guest faculty at NMIMS, where he taught Advanced Compensation with a focus on blending psychological and economic principles for future HR leaders.
With his new mandate at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, Sharukh is set to play a key role in shaping the company’s compensation philosophy, driving innovation in rewards, and aligning HR practices with the company’s long-term vision for limitless growth and global competitiveness.
