Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – November 2024 – Shashank Jha has joined Artson Ltd, a TATA enterprise, as Chief Executive Officer and Wholetime Director. In his new role, Shashank will lead the company’s strategic direction, focusing on growth and operational excellence in the manufacturing and construction sectors. His expertise in organizational leadership and strategic planning is set to elevate Artson Ltd’s impact within the TATA Group and beyond.
Shashank’s journey to Artson Ltd. includes his recent role as Chief Executive Officer at Artson Engineering Limited, where he demonstrated his skills in P&L management and construction management. Over nearly two years, Shashank was instrumental in driving the company’s performance and expanding its operational footprint, particularly within the manufacturing processes sector.
Before joining Artson Engineering Limited, Shashank served as Country Manager, Oil Field Equipment at Baker Hughes. During his five-year tenure, he managed operations in India, partnering with regional clients to address complex technological challenges in the energy sector. His leadership helped Baker Hughes advance its carbon-neutral goals and provided strategic support to customers across diverse portfolios, showcasing his strength in organizational leadership and P&L management.
Earlier, Shashank held key roles within GE Oil & Gas, including Sales Director for Subsea Systems and Sales Leader – D&PS, GE India. Over four years, he grew GE’s subsea business significantly, transforming it from low single-digit sales to a multi-million-dollar operation. His strategic approach enabled GE to expand its market share even during challenging times, establishing his reputation as a leader who can drive growth in competitive markets.
Shashank’s extensive background includes his experience with BG Group and Oil India Limited. As Project Manager at BG Group, he managed high-stakes projects, including a $5 million emergency response initiative. His early career as a Reservoir Engineer with Oil India Limited gave him foundational knowledge in the energy industry and hands-on experience in managing operational challenges in India’s oldest oil fields.
