Singapore, April 2026 — Shazli Ghani has been appointed as Regional Human Resources Director, Operations (SAPMENA – Asia Pacific & Middle East) at L’Oréal, marking a significant elevation in his leadership journey within the organization. Based in Singapore, he will now lead the people agenda across a highly strategic and diverse regional operations footprint.
A seasoned HR leader, Shazli’s progression within L’Oréal—from country-level leadership to cluster oversight, and now to a regional mandate—reflects a career built on transformation, operational excellence, and strong business alignment. His new role places him at the center of driving people strategy across complex supply chains, markets, and operational ecosystems in one of L’Oréal’s most dynamic regions.
Prior to this elevation, Shazli served as Cluster Human Resources Director for Malaysia & Singapore at L’Oréal, where he led HR strategy across two key markets, enabling business growth through talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Before that, he held the role of Human Resources Director, Malaysia, strengthening local HR frameworks and aligning people priorities with business outcomes.
Before joining L’Oréal, Shazli spent over seven years with British American Tobacco, where he held multiple leadership roles across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. His experience included serving as Head of HR, Malaysia, Regional Talent and Organisation Effectiveness Manager (ASPAC & Middle East) based in Hong Kong, Head of HR, Cambodia, and Head of HR, Supply Chain, where he built deep expertise in regional talent strategy, organizational development, and operational HR leadership.
Earlier in his career, he worked with SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (Vantris Energy Berhad) in Strategic Human Capital Management, directly supporting the CEO in driving HR strategy following a major merger, contributing to large-scale organizational integration and transformation.
He also gained strong consulting experience at Aon Hewitt as a Senior Consultant, where he led the Best Employers Study in Malaysia and worked extensively on engagement and talent management initiatives. His early career at Sime Darby Berhad (SD Guthrie Berhad) involved HR Systems implementation, where he played a key role in SAP HR deployment and the establishment of the organization’s Global Services Centre for HR.
