DALLAS, TEXAS — AccentCare promotes Shelly Marks to Vice President, Human Resources, Hospice and Personal Care Services. With almost three decades of experience in human resources and organizational leadership, Shelly brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to her new role. Effective April 2024, she will lead AccentCare’s HR initiatives for the Hospice and Personal Care Services division.
Career Journey at AccentCare
Shelly joined AccentCare in August 2021 as Vice President, Human Resources for Personal Care Services. Over the past two years and ten months, she has excelled in driving strategic HR initiatives, implementing leadership development programs, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion.
Her dedication to innovation and talent management has been instrumental in enhancing AccentCare’s HR infrastructure, contributing to the company’s remarkable growth.
Previous Experience
Before joining AccentCare, Shelly served as an Executive Leadership Coach and HR Consultant for over seven years, leading executive coaching assignments that significantly improved leadership skills and organizational development strategies.
Previously, she held various executive roles at Alliance Data, where she spent over 12 years. As Vice President of Human Resources and an Executive Committee Member, she re-engineered HR processes, developed a high-potential leader program, and championed talent acquisition efforts. Her strategic leadership also resulted in the successful implementation of healthy living and wellness programs that reduced healthcare costs and improved associate well-being.
Earlier in her career, Shelly gained valuable experience at Frontstep, Inc. (formerly Symix Systems) as an HR Manager, Cardinal Health as a Senior Compensation Analyst, and CompuServe, where she held multiple compensation roles.
