Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2026 – Shreeram Varahan has started a new position as Regional Head of HR – Global Centers and APAC at Thomson Reuters. In this expanded mandate, he will lead HR across Global Centers in India, Poland, and the Philippines, along with the broader APAC region, covering 10,000+ employees.
In this role, Shreeram heads the Global People & Leader Advisory function, driving a consulting-focused transformation agenda. His responsibilities include transitioning to pod-based resourcing and case management models, establishing SLAs and governance frameworks, centralizing and automating transactional processes, and ensuring legally defensible employee relations and performance practices across regions. He also provides executive oversight for M&A people integration, union and works council strategies, crisis response, organizational design optimization, and compliance governance, while aligning HR services with business objectives and driving measurable business impact.
Shreeram brings over a decade of leadership experience within Thomson Reuters. Earlier, he served as Head of HR Business Partners – India Operations Center, leading HR for an 8,500+ employee base and partnering closely with senior leadership on transformation, culture change, talent management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. He also previously led Talent Acquisition – India, overseeing recruitment strategy across locations and managing editorial hiring across South Asia, and served as Assistant Vice President, HR (Head HRBP) – India and Head – Recruitments.
Before Thomson Reuters, Shreeram held staffing and HR leadership roles at Dell, Ad Astrum Technologies, and Pentafour communications Limited, building deep expertise in resource management, global hiring, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border workforce strategy.
