Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2024 – Shubhayu Sengupta has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Zeta, a leading next-gen credit card processing platform provider. In his new role, Shubhayu will spearhead the company’s human resources strategies, focusing on talent management, organizational development, and fostering a people-centric culture as Zeta continues its growth across the US, Middle East, and Asia.
Before joining Zeta, Shubhayu Sengupta served as the CHRO at Gloplax Solutions for 1 year and 3 months. During his tenure, he was responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that included succession planning, talent management, and organizational performance. He played a key role in aligning HR policies with business goals and supported both Gloplax and its clients in policy ideation and strategy.
Prior to Gloplax, Shubhayu held the role of SVP and HR Head, India and The Philippines, and Global OD Leader at Sagility (formerly HGS Healthcare). In this role, he was responsible for overseeing HR functions for a workforce of over 13,000 employees and led initiatives to transition operations smoothly when the company was divested from Hinduja Group. He also played a crucial role in creating talent strategies for business growth, while leading key initiatives related to ESG, diversity, and inclusion.
Shubhayu’s experience also includes 5 years and 6 months as the Senior Vice President Human Resources – Head HR, India at Hinduja Global Solutions, where he led HR functions for 14,000 employees. He was instrumental in establishing HR as a strategic enabler during a major organizational transformation and led the design of a comprehensive talent review framework.
Earlier in his career, Shubhayu served as the Director, Talent Leader GDN for EY, where he was responsible for HR functions across five countries, and as the Sr VP HR, Head HR, India and The Philippines at Wells Fargo, where he helped build a compelling employee value proposition.
