Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 – Shweta Mhatre has joined Lakmé Lever Pvt. Ltd. as Head – Human Resources & Training, stepping into a key leadership role within one of India’s most trusted beauty and wellness brands.
In her new mandate, Shweta will lead the HR and training agenda for Lakmé Lever, aligning people strategy with business growth across its expansive salon network. Her role will encompass talent management, capability building, workforce planning, and strengthening the organization’s training ecosystem to support stylists, employees, and franchise partners nationwide.
Prior to this appointment, Shweta spent over eight years with L’Oréal, where she held multiple HR leadership roles across regions and functions. Most recently, she served as Human Resources Business Partner – Operations, SAPMENA Zone. Earlier, she led Campus Relations and Integration, and served as HR Business Partner for Sales & Education teams across South and East India. Beginning her journey as a Management Trainee, she gained cross-functional exposure in Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Employer Branding, building a strong foundation in HR strategy and execution.
She began her career with internships at Philips and Centrum India, strengthening her early exposure to corporate HR practices.
Shweta holds an MBA in Human Resources Development from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and a BBA in Finance from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
