India, July, 08, 2024 – Siddhartha Gupta has been appointed as the President of Mercer India. Previously serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Mettl, Siddhartha brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leadership to Mercer. His appointment underscores Mercer’s commitment to delivering impactful solutions to clients and enhancing collaboration across its business units.
Siddhartha will report to Sanjay Kedia, Marsh McLennan’s India CEO, and will join the leadership teams for Marsh McLennan in India and Mercer in the India, Middle East, and Africa Region. “With Siddhartha’s proven track record of success and deep understanding of the talent landscape, he is poised to drive innovation and propel Mercer’s success in India,” said Kedia.

Siddhartha Gupta joins Mercer after a notable tenure at Mettl, where he spent approximately 8 years and 4 months in various roles. Most recently, he served as the CEO for around 5 years and 6 months, leading Mercer Mettl to become a credible voice in the talent measurement space. Before that, he was the Chief Revenue Officer for about 2 years and 11 months, where he aimed to make Mettl the SalesForce.com of the assessment world and worked closely with the Government of India on initiatives like “Skill India” and “Digital India”.
Prior to his time at Mettl, Siddhartha held various positions at SAP for approximately 10 years and 3 months. He served as the Vice President Strategic Industries for around 1 year and 6 months, focusing on automation needs of public services and public sector undertakings. He also served as the Head Key PSU, Strategic Industries (Oil & Gas, Energy and Natural Resources) for about 1 year and 9 months, and the Director Public Services for approximately 5 years, where he scaled up SAP’s share of automation spends in the central and state government sectors.
Earlier in his career, Siddhartha was a Business Manager at SAP India for about 2 years and 1 month, and an Account Manager at Hewlett-Packard for approximately 4 years, managing a range of HP’s business offerings.
Siddhartha’s early career includes a role as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director at Compaq Computers (Prior to HP Merger) for about 1 year, where he worked closely with top management and gained valuable insights into running a multinational company.
